Russia's pork exports have seen a significant increase, with a 30% rise in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the same period last year, totaling 48,240 tons. This surge is primarily due to a five-fold increase in deliveries to Vietnam, which accounted for half of all Russian pork exports. Ukraine was the second most popular export market. However, Russia's pork export market is not as broad as other suppliers, especially without market approval in China. Additionally, the import of pork from traditional suppliers like Brazil has significantly decreased in the first quarter of 2021.
