Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended economic sanctions against Western countries, including the US, EU, Norway, Australia, and Canada, until the end of 2021. These sanctions prohibit the import of a variety of food products, including beef and pork, vegetables and fruit, poultry, fish, cheese, milk, and most dairy products. The restrictions, in effect since August 2014, are to be enforced by the cabinet.
