Russia has seen a significant reduction in the import of food chicken eggs, with a decrease of almost 1.2 times compared to the same period last year. The import figures for January to March 7 stood at 144.2 million eggs, a decrease from 170.5 million eggs during the same period last year. This trend is attributed to an increase in the country's own production of eggs, with Russian poultry enterprises producing 3.355 billion pieces in January 2025, an increase from 3.173 billion pieces in January 2024.
