In July 2024, Russia saw a significant increase in agricultural exports to China, with wheat and meslin exports alone rising 5.5 times to 35.9 thousand tons, valued at $9.4 million, compared to July 2023. This increase is part of a larger trend, with overall imports of Russian wheat to China in the first seven months of 2024 being 7.6 times higher than in 2023, amounting to $48.2 million. Additionally, China doubled its purchases of Russian barley and increased its imports of Russian oats and buckwheat, while reducing its imports of rapeseed oil.
