According to TradeMap, Russia ranks first among the world's oilseed exporters, well ahead of Canada and Kazakhstan following behind. In terms of the export of crude linseed oil of the Russian Federation, it ranks second, and in other terms, including technical, it ranks 10th. In Russia, in recent years, the production of niche oilseeds and products of their processing has been actively growing. The harvest of the most significant of them - oil flax - in 2022 reached a record 1.733 million tons against 1.296 million tons in 2021, writes OleoScope. Over the past 10 years, this crop has gained particular popularity in our country, because the area under it has grown almost 4.5 times (from 479 thousand hectares in 2013), and the harvest - 6 times (from 295 thousand tons).
