Russia: largest producers of pigs for slaughter in 2024

The NSS has presented a rating of the largest producers of pigs for slaughter in the Russian Federation based on the results of 2024. According to the rating, by the end of 2024, Miratorg Agribusiness Holding retained its leading position with the production of 868.8 thousand tons of pigs for slaughter in live weight, which amounted to 14.8% of the total production in the Russian Federation. The second line is occupied by RusAgro Group with 593.3 thousand tons and 10.1% of the total production volume. It should be noted that the company significantly increased production volumes (from 334 thousand tons in 2023 to 593.3 thousand tons in 2024), which allowed it to rise from third to second position. JSC Sibagro dropped to third place in the ranking with 440.8 thousand tons and 7.5%.
