Russia has allocated 80 billion rubles, approximately 777 million euros, for the 2024 subsidy to boost its domestic milk production, marking a significant increase from the previous year. The government is supporting dairy farmers with preferential loans and subsidies for farm construction, with a goal to increase milk production to 38.5 million tons by 2030. Despite inflation, the government plans to continue supporting the agricultural sector with a budget of 507.4 billion rubles in 2025, which is 24% less than in 2024. This budget includes funding for agricultural development, rural development, land programs, agricultural insurance, and leasing of agricultural machinery.
