From January 1 to December 20, 2020, Russia exported over 1 million tons of agricultural products to Georgia, valued at $296 million. The volume of exports increased by 37% to Georgia, with wheat being the leading product. Despite a decrease in the value of confectionery exports due to a decrease in the purchasing power of the Georgian population, the demand for Russian sweets remains high. Additionally, exports of sunflower oil, corn, and various drinks to Georgia have also increased. Russia also supplies over 90% of Georgia's live pigs. The potential for Russian agricultural exports to Georgia is estimated to be over $200 million, with promising categories including poultry meat, confectionery, frozen fish, margarine, and pork.
