According to data from the Russian Agricultural Export Center, from January to August 2025, Russia exported approximately 850 tons of pasta to China, with an export value exceeding 760,000 U.S. dollars.
Reports indicate that in 2024, Russia's pasta exports to China were only 490 tons, amounting to 394,000 U.S. dollars. This year's export volume has increased by 70%, and the export value has increased by 90% year-on-year.
The report also shows that Russia's exports of instant noodles to China have grown significantly, with 27 tons exported in the first eight months of 2024, and 112 tons exported in the same period of 2025, a more than threefold increase year-on-year.
On March 18, the Russian Agricultural Export Center informed the satellite news agency that according to preliminary statistics, in 2024, Russia exported over 8.3 million tons of agricultural products to China, with a total export value of approximately 7.4 billion U.S. dollars. Among the agricultural products exported by Russia to China, the largest export volume was canola oil (13%), followed by barley (10%), and then sunflower oil and peas (each 8%), and soybeans (7%). China has become the main importer of Russian agricultural products in 2024, and has maintained this position for two consecutive years.
