Russian fish exports reached 18 countries last year, as announced by Ilya Shestakov, the head of Rosrybolovstvo, at the Far Eastern Basin Scientific and Fishery Council meeting. The primary markets for these exports include China, Japan, and South Korea, with the African market, notably Nigeria, also becoming one of the top five. The council's meeting in Vladivostok focuses on summarizing the Sea of Okhotsk fishing season, preparing for the salmon fishing season, and discussing potential changes to fishing rules.
