The volume of fish production in the Far Eastern fishery basin increased by 17.2% to 2.8 million tons, with notable increases in pollock, herring, flounder, cod, and salmon catches. In the Northern Fisheries Basin, fishermen caught 335.8 thousand tons of fish, including cod, haddock, and capelin. In the Western Fisheries Basin, production increased by 9.3% to 57.2 thousand tons, with increased catches of sprat and Baltic herring. In the Volga-Caspian fishery basin, the catch increased by 15.6% to 57.4 thousand tons, including a significant increase in sprat catches. In the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin, the catch amounted to 27.9 thousand tons, including 8.5 thousand tons of anchovies. The Russian fishing fleet also saw a nearly 8% increase in the volume of production in foreign exclusive economic zones and open ocean areas. Despite these increases, fish products continue to be supplied uninterruptedly to the domestic market.
