Russian scientists have developed new varieties of lentils and soybeans that are resistant to lodging and drought, have high protein content, and do not contain GMOs. These crops are being tested in various regions of Russia and have garnered interest from farmers in Kazakhstan and China. In addition to lentils and soybeans, Omsk scientists have created 12 new varieties of wheat, rye, barley, and other crops with improved properties and wide cultivation areas. These developments are part of the national project "Science and Universities" aimed at developing the agro-industrial complex and breeding centers in Russia.
