In 2020, Russia experienced a surge in tea imports from China, reaching nearly 15,000 tons, an increase from the previous year's 14,700 tons. Despite the global impact of the new crown pandemic, this trend held strong. The average price of Chinese tea imports also saw a decrease, falling from 2.83 US dollars/kg to 2.52 US dollars/kg, indicating a drop in China's domestic tea prices, with companies taking advantage of low prices by buying larger quantities.
