Russian wheat export prices have decreased due to the renewal of an agreement allowing safe export of Ukrainian grain and an increase in export volumes. Prices of Russian 12.5% protein wheat fell $5 to $272 a tonne last week, according to agricultural consultancy IKAR. Russia may recommend a temporary halt to wheat and sunflower exports due to the sharp fall in world prices, but export disruptions remain low. Russia exported 1.16 million tons of grain in the week to March 24, and its March wheat exports could reach 4.3 million tonnes, the highest level for March since 2018.
