The Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) in Mexico, in collaboration with the Mexican Wine Council (CMV) and the French Embassy, is launching a project to establish certified nursery farms to provide Mexican wine producers with certified grape plants, reducing import costs from Europe. The project aims to enhance the genetic diversity and phytosanitary measures of Mexican vineyards, adhering to national and international health and safety regulations. This initiative includes diagnostic visits by French specialists, support for grape producers in combating endemic pests, and a partnership with the French Institute of Vine and Wine to provide efficient and adapted plants.
