Sunflower meal exports in September-December 2021/22 were the lowest in six seasons, with a 17% decrease compared to the same period the previous year. Despite this, China increased its purchases by 7%. However, imports from Ukraine reduced by 59% in EU countries. There was a decline in exports of sunflower meal in France, Italy, and Spain, with decreases of 94%, 93%, and 67% respectively. China has accredited a Ukrainian enterprise for export to the Chinese market, and currently, 36 sunflower meal producers and 9 rapeseed meal producers have the right to export to China.
