According to Rosrybolovstvo, salmon and valuable seafood production in Russia has increased in the first half of the year, with a projected growth of 3-5% in 2023. The aim is to reduce import dependence on feed, with plans for 90-95% of industry demand to be produced domestically by 2030. The growth in aquaculture is primarily driven by premium salmon, and there has been an increase in investment in projects for fish farming in recirculating water systems.
