The article highlights a significant development in Transcarpathia, Ukraine, where a 100% capacity salt mine named Bushtynsky deposit is in the works. Initiated by Viktor Mykyta, the project aims to meet Ukraine's entire demand for technical salt used in winter road maintenance, amounting to approximately 450,000 tons per season. The deposit is expected to yield up to 150,000 tons of raw materials per month. Currently, engineering efforts are underway to establish infrastructure and acquire modern drilling equipment, with the first salt harvest predicted within six months. This initiative is set to revolutionize Ukraine's winter road maintenance practices, ensuring efficient and sufficient supply of technical salt from a local source.
