Samsun Province in Turkey, led by Director İbrahim Sağlam, has achieved significant agricultural results, particularly in the production of capia pepper in the Bafra plain. With a production of 1.129 million tons in 2023 and an expected increase to 1.130-1.132 million tons in 2024 from 32,300 decares of land, Samsun stands as the fourth largest capia pepper producer in the country. This crop, known for its meaty texture and high yield, is a crucial part of the region's winter and summer vegetable production, which spans 220,000 decares. The abundance and versatility of capia pepper make it a staple in the Turkish market, bringing joy to both consumers and farmers.
