In Samsun, the second province with the highest hazelnut production after Ordu, hazelnut crop estimation studies continue in 13 districts. Samsun, one of Turkey's important hazelnut production centers, is conducting hazelnut crop estimation studies for 2025. Approximately 50,000 producers are engaged in hazelnut farming on an area of 1 million 249 thousand 679 decares province-wide. In studies that began on June 26, field work is being carried out in 87 sample gardens across Samsun's 13 hazelnut production districts, based on "cluster counting" on approximately 450 branches. Counts are conducted at different altitudes, including coastal, mid, and high zones, and are shaped according to the proportional density of hazelnut varieties.
