Within the framework of the "Leaders of Food Safety" campaign and under the motto "Food safety is everyone's business," the National Authority for Health and Food Safety in Fisheries and Aquaculture (Sanipes) appointed 20 students as school leaders of food safety in the emblematic educational institutions Carlos Wiesse and José Granda, in Lima. The appointed students, from first to fifth grade of secondary school, will promote among their peers the culture of good food safety practices in order to mitigate health risks from foodborne diseases (FBDs).
