The General Authority for Food Security of Saudi Arabia (GFSA) has initiated the third tender for 2025 to import 655,000 tons of wheat. The goal is to bolster strategic reserves and ensure a steady domestic supply. The wheat, with a minimum protein content of 12.5%, can come from any origin. The wheat is going to be distributed across various ports including Jeddah, Yanbu, Dammam, and Jizan between August and October 2025. This tender is part of a series of procurements aimed at diversifying supply sources to minimize risks and price fluctuations in the global market.
