Santa Catarina has seen a significant increase in its meat exports, with September marking a record high since May 2019. The state exported 105.6 thousand tons of chicken meat, a 25.3% increase from the previous month and 23.1% from the same month in 2023, generating 386.7 million US$ in revenue. Overall, the state exported 173.6 thousand tons of meat, including various types, marking a 13.8% increase from the previous month. The state is responsible for 23.4% of the revenue generated by Brazilian chicken meat exports in the first nine months of the year. Additionally, Santa Catarina also contributed significantly to Brazilian pork exports, accounting for 55.3% of the quantity and 57% of the revenue.
