In the first two months of 2021, Vietnam's seafood exports experienced a slight increase, with a total value of $998.2 million, largely due to the top five enterprises contributing significantly to the sector. While shrimp exports saw a slight decrease, pangasius exports experienced a 5.5% drop. However, there was a 6.4% increase in overall seafood exports, reaching $423 million, with mollusk exports seeing a rise. The export momentum suggests a projected growth of 1.5% in March, with positive export signals expected to be maintained due to high demand and the benefits of free trade agreements such as EVFTA and CPTPP.
