The ASOEX Table Grape Committee has released its second estimate for the 2022-2023 fresh grape export season, predicting a total of 68.6 million boxes (8.2 kg) to be shipped, marking a 7.7% decrease from the previous year. This forecast underscores a shift towards new grape varieties, with an expected 52.6% of shipments being new varieties, despite a drop in traditional and Red Globe varieties. White grapes are also on the rise, while there's a general decline in red, black, and Red Globe grapes. The United States remains the primary market for Chilean table grapes, with projections to receive 38.62 million boxes, followed by Asia and Europe. The committee plans to provide two more volume estimates throughout the season, acknowledging the un certainty due to various external factors.
