Due to an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Croatia on 5 pig farms, as of June 29, 2023, means of transport for cloven-hoofed animals (pigs, cattle, sheep, goats or deer) returning or arriving (empty or loaded) from Croatia must immediately upon entry undergo a second cleaning and disinfection (R&D) in the Netherlands at a recognized cleaning and disinfection site, slaughterhouse or collection centre.
