Sejong City will support 70% of smart farm installation costs for local young farmers. This is a new program this year targeting agricultural workers and prospective farmers under 45 years old who have an address in the city or wish to move into the city. Farmers not residing in the city must prove completion of smart farm/horticulture specialized training or smart farm management practice. Final selected participants must secure a project site within two months. Applications can be downloaded from the city website and submitted to the Agricultural Policy Division by August 22. Agricultural Policy Division Director Lee Gi-poong stated, "We aim to support young farmers who face difficulties settling down due to high land prices."
