The city's inspection team discovered 50 boxes (750 kg) of non-commercial citrus (over 70 mm in size) packaged in a citrus sorting station in Yeongcheon-dong on the 3rd, and took measures to process the detected quantity as processing citrus.
In addition, the city plans to impose a fine for the violation and dismiss the quality inspector at the citrus sorting station.
The fine for the 28 cases of non-commercial citrus distribution detected this year totals 27,780,000 won.
Seogwipo City has been implementing a ward-based citrus sorting station inspection responsibility system since the 1st to eliminate blind spots in inspections and to concentrate administrative power on inspecting sorting stations that habitually violate distribution order and eradicating illegal distribution activities at night.
