They do not use artificial fertilizers or pesticides. The concept of Lenteland includes the possibility for people from the surrounding area to become customers, volunteers, and co-owners. Klein Tilburg is the seventh farm that Lenteland has helped to start up. On each farm, the development of the soil and biodiversity is actively measured, as well as what the location does for people in the neighborhood. According to the organization, it is visible around the other farms that there is more soil life and birds and insects are returning. Brabant roots Eline Veninga, chief mission officer at Lenteland: ‘With Klein Tilburg, we have a special place, close to the city yet in the middle of the green.
