Paraguay has incorporated a new protein biotechnology technology that allows the production of calves of the desired sex with an accuracy of over 90%, without damaging the sperm DNA. The innovation was presented during the seminar “Protein Biotechnology – Innovating Sexed Semen in Paraguay”, held at the Auditorium of the National Service for Animal Health and Quality (Senacsa) in San Lorenzo, within the framework of scientific and technological cooperation with Korea. The event brought together local and foreign producers, technicians, and authorities, who learned about the advances that accelerate the genetic improvement of herds and optimize animal production.
