Sharp increase in global grain production estimates

According to the IGC's latest report dated August, the global grain production for the period June 2025 / July 2026 was revised upwards. The global grain production expectation, reported as 2 billion 376 million tons in July, was increased by a sharp 28 million tons in August, reaching 2 billion 404 tons, particularly influenced by the increase in corn acreage and yield in the United States. It is forecast that global production will increase by 83 million tons year-on-year. During the period June 2025 / July 2026, global corn production is expected to rise by 65 million tons to 1 billion 299 million tons, while wheat production is expected to increase by 11 million tons to 811 million tons.
