Forest Household Income Rises 2.7% to 38.405 Million Won in 2024 Forest household income increased to 38.405 million won in 2024, up 2.7% from the previous year, primarily due to increased sales of major short-term forest products such as astringent persimmons. According to the Forest Service's economic survey released on May 28, short-term forest product sales rose 2.3% to 19.559 million won from 18.637 million won in 2023. Particularly, astringent persimmon sales increased by 15.4% due to improved crop conditions. Forest industry income grew 2% to 10.461 million won, while non-forest income increased 3.7% to 14.49 million won. While agricultural and livestock side income decreased 1.8% to 8.71 million won, non-business income such as wages rose 13.2% to 5.781 million won.
