A farmer in Quang Tri province, Vietnam, has successfully used the CPF Combine model for shrimp farming, yielding over 7.5 tons of shrimp from 2 hectares of water surface in just 87 days. The model, which involves using circular ponds with an aeration system and a three-stage farming process, requires a large investment but offers higher efficiency than traditional methods. It also allows for quick crop rotation and uses only minerals and probiotics. The department of agriculture and rural development of Quang Tri province believes the CPF Combine model could help farmers overcome challenges such as diseases, unpredictable weather, price instability, and small shrimp sizes, and is opening a new direction for shrimp farming in the province.
