Sicredi, Brazil's second largest financier of rural producers, believes that the national soybean harvest forecast by the National Supply Company (Conab) is overestimated and projects a harvest below 150 million tons. The financial institution's estimate is 147 million tons, while Conab's is 151.4 million tons. Sicredi also expects the official forecasts to align with its own, which has a lower projection for Rio Grande do Sul's crop, at 12 million tons compared to Conab's 15.2 million tons.
