Since the beginning of 2023, Moldova has exported 6 thousand tons of table grapes

Increasing the yield and quality of table grapes, the need to introduce advanced growing technologies, diversifying sales markets and obtaining higher incomes - these are the main topics discussed within the framework of the Advisory Council with the participation of industry producers and the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova, EastFruit reports with reference to MOLDPRES. According to Gheorghe Gaber, President of the Moldovan Table Grape Producers and Exporters Association, about 3,000 tons of table grapes are currently stored in refrigerated warehouses. In 2022, about 76 thousand tons were exported, and since the beginning of 2023, about 6 thousand tons have been supplied to the markets of the European Union and the CIS. “This year, producers are aiming to become more competitive and pay more attention to the choice of grape varieties in order to adapt them to local growing conditions,” said Gaber.
