Production of protected soil vegetables in Russia has seen a steady increase, with over 500 thousand tons produced by April 23, marking a 5.4% increase from the previous year. The harvest included 190 thousand tons of tomatoes and 300 thousand tons of cucumbers, with the leading regions being Lipetsk, Moscow, Volgograd, Kaluga, Tyumen, Belgorod, Tambov, Saratov regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories. This growth is attributed to government support measures and additional funding from individual regions, as part of a federal project aimed at developing the vegetable and potato growing industries.
