Export Overview
In the first three quarters of 2025, China exported a total of 192.8 thousand tons of canned oranges, amounting to 231 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 1,201 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity remained basically unchanged, while the amount and average price both increased by 1%.
In September 2025, China exported 16.7 thousand tons of canned oranges, amounting to 20.21 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 1,210 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity decreased by 8%, the amount decreased by 6%, and the average price decreased by 1%.
Export Countries
In the first three quarters of 2025, among the 70 countries and regions that China exported canned oranges to, the top eight in terms of export amount were: the United States, Japan, Indonesia, Germany, Canada, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Iran.
China exported 92.1 thousand tons of canned oranges to the United States, accounting for 48% of China's total canned orange exports, amounting to 114 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 1,238 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity decreased by 3%, the amount decreased by 4%, and the average price decreased by 1%.
China exported 45 thousand tons to Japan, accounting for 23% of China's total canned orange exports, amounting to 53.75 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 1,196 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity increased by 5%, the amount increased by 5%, and the average price increased by 1%.
China exported 13.5 thousand tons to Indonesia, accounting for 7% of China's total canned orange exports, amounting to 11.51 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 856 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity decreased by 21%, the amount decreased by 27%, and the average price decreased by 7%.
China exported 10.2 thousand tons to Germany, accounting for 5% of China's total canned orange exports, amounting to 11.65 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 1,144 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity increased by 66%, the amount increased by 71%, and the average price increased by 3%.
Export Provinces and Cities
In the first three quarters of 2025, among the 22 provinces and cities in China that exported canned oranges, the top six in terms of export amount were: Zhejiang, Hubei, Shandong, Anhui, Hunan, and Jiangsu.
Zhejiang Province exported 125.1 thousand tons, accounting for 65% of China's total canned orange exports, amounting to 157 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 1,253 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity increased by 4%, the amount increased by 6%, and the average price increased by 2%.
Hubei Province exported 31.5 thousand tons, accounting for 16% of China's total canned orange exports, amounting to 30.37 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 964 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity decreased by 1%, the amount decreased by 2%, and the average price remained basically unchanged.
Shandong Province exported 12.9 thousand tons, accounting for 7% of China's total canned orange exports, amounting to 16.28 million U.S. dollars, with an average unit price of 1,261 U.S. dollars/ton. Compared to the same period last year, the quantity decreased by 24%, the amount decreased by 21%, and the average price increased by 4%.
