A delegation led by Sofofa visited Washington DC and the White House itself during Monday and Tuesday, arranging meetings with part of the high echelon of the Donald Trump administration. The guild president, Rosario Navarro, and the general secretary, Rodrigo Yáñez, headed the delegation which aimed to highlight Chile's role as a strategic partner of the United States, for example, in matters of critical minerals such as copper or lithium. Moreover, this is the first time that Chilean guilds manage to set foot in the seat of the U.S. government to carry out this type of management.
