According to information released by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply of São Paulo, the state leads the nation in its own generation of solar energy and continues to expand its sustainable production potential. Data from the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (Absolar) indicate that the installed capacity in São Paulo is 5.8 gigawatts (GW). Compared to the last 12 months, the growth was 1.6 GW, which represents an advance of 38%.
