The Chieng Hac Safe Agriculture Cooperative in Son La, Vietnam, has exported over 400 tons of green-skinned mangoes to China this crop, with plans to export another 200 tons. The cooperative, which has 14.5 hectares of mangoes and produces organically, has seen increased income for local farmers, with one member earning over 200 million VND from 20 tons of mangoes. The mango variety grown, GL4, is known for its large fruits and favorable growing conditions in Yen Chau district. The cooperative uses advanced technologies and techniques, including Israeli watering technology and expensive microbiological drugs for pest and disease control, resulting in higher yields from the 6th year onwards.
