The Poltava region in Ukraine has begun sowing spring crops, according to Dmitry Lunin, the head of Poltava OVA. The crops include barley, peas, oats, and wheat. The sowing of early crops is expected to complete by April 15, and the overall sowing should be finished by May 25. So far, 21 oblasts of Ukraine have started sowing spring crops. The projected area to be sown with the main spring crops for the 2022 harvest in Ukraine-controlled territories is 13,438.4 thousand hectares, which is a decrease of 3,477.9 thousand hectares compared to last year.
