Farmers in Kabwe district are experiencing high market demand and prices for soya beans, with current prices ranging from eight to ten Kwacha per kilogramme. This is a significant increase from the five Kwacha per kilogramme last year, and small scale farmers are particularly benefiting due to less competition from commercial farmers who did not grow the crop in the recent rainy season. The chairperson of the Kabwe District Farmers Union has urged farmers to sell their soya beans promptly to avoid market saturation and maximize profits.
