In the Rio Grande do Sul soybean market, the absence of over-the-counter quotes indicates a virtually paralyzed physical market, reflecting the total focus on the start of field operations and the scarcity of supply, according to information from TF Agroeconômica. "For payment in November, with delivery in October, prices at the port were reported at R$ 141.00/sc weekly, while in the interior the references were around R$ 131.00/sc (-0.76%) weekly in Cruz Alta, Passo Fundo, Santa Rosa, and São Luiz, all with settlement scheduled for 30/10," the consultancy comments. In Santa Catarina, the physical market is practically at a standstill. "The focus of producers and cooperatives is directed towards soil preservation and climate monitoring, waiting for a moisture window that allows resuming the normal pace of the field.
