The Agricultural Research Institute (INIA) of Chile organized an discussion at the Latin American Remote Sensing Week -LARS 2024- about the use of remote sensing tools and satellite images for agricultural applications, specifically for crop irrigation, water balance of basins, and precision agriculture. The discussion highlighted the capabilities of the Satellite Agricultural Platform (PLAS) and INIA's Agrometeorological Network, which helps identify crop water needs and predict agricultural drought up to three months in advance. This marks the first time INIA has collaborated with the FACH Aerophotogrammetric Service on such a discussion.
