Spain and Portugal analyze the situation of the Iberian sardine and the different tuna fisheries

MADRID, Oct. 18 (EUROPA PRESS) - The Secretary General of Fisheries, Isabel Artime, met this Wednesday with her counterpart from Portugal, Teresa Coelho, with whom she addressed the main issues of common interest between both countries in terms of fisheries management and research. Specifically, they have reviewed the perspectives on the Total Allowable Catches (TAC) and fishing quotas for 2024, which will be established by the Council of Fisheries Ministers of the European Union at its meeting in December, this year under the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU. During this meeting, which is part of the usual meetings between Spain and Portugal, the situation of fisheries management of species of interest to the fleets of both countries, such as the Iberian sardine and the different tuna fisheries, was analyzed.
