The Interprofessional of Olive Oil of Spain reported this Friday that Spain exported 87,273 tons of olive oil to the United States in the first half of 2025, a 24.19% increase compared to the same period last year. This organization has highlighted that 60% of the olive oil sent to the American market arrived packaged from the origin, specifically 52,874 tons, while the remaining 34,399 tons arrived in bulk for bottling at the destination. Rafael Pico, the head of External Promotion of this interprofessional, valued the increase in packaged oil shipments, which represents "a qualitative leap" for the Spanish product in that market, "thanks to the great work of the exporting companies" and the "promotion campaigns" of the product.
