The Consorcio del Jamón Serrano Español (CJSE) has reported a 10.78% increase in Spanish cured hams exports in the first nine months of 2022, reaching a total of 40,595.68 tons and an value of 420,408,798.48 euros, a 15.47% increase compared to the same period in 2021. The majority of these exports, 69.6%, were to the European Union, with France and Germany being the main markets. However, growth was also seen in third countries such as Japan, China, and Mexico. The formats with the highest growth in volume and value were the bone and boneless ham formats, with the United Kingdom and China being the consumers with the highest prices for the boneless ham.
