In the first quarter of 2024, Spain became one of the primary markets for Peruvian agro-exports, with imports valued at $147 million, marking a 26% increase from the previous year. This growth was largely driven by higher imports of avocados, mangoes, and asparagus. However, grape exports experienced a significant decline due to an early campaign in the previous year. Avocado exports saw a notable increase in both volume and value, with Westfalia Fruit Perú S.A.C. and Marand Company S.A.C. being the leading exporters. Mango exports also surged in value, despite a decrease in volume, with Best Fruits Of Perú S.A.C. and Passion Fresh S.A.C. as the leading exporters. Asparagus exports experienced a decrease in volume but an increase in value, with Green Perú S.A. and Agroexportaciones Nathanael S.A.C. being the leading exporters.
