Ukraine has begun selling less sunflower oil, but its main buyers have become Spain, Italy, and India.

Ukraine reduced sunflower oil exports to 2.407 million tons in January-June 2025, with revenue decreasing to $2.77 billion, which is 33.5% and 2.4% lower compared to the same period last year, the State Customs Service reported. The main buyers of Ukrainian sunflower oil in January-June this year were Spain and Italy, accounting for 12.88% and 12.18% of exports, respectively, and India with a 11.77% share. These countries spent $356.945 million, $337.494 million, and $326.071 million on purchasing sunflower oil from Ukraine, respectively. Rapeseed oil exports decreased 3.6 times compared to January-June 2024, to 19.992 million tons, with revenue also dropping 2.9 times to $58.015 million. Ukraine increased soybean oil exports by 52% in the first half of the year compared to 287.052 million tons last year and doubled its revenue to $295.034 million.
