The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food is going to send the European Commission an extension of the vaccination plan against contagious nodular dermatosis (DNC) to the regions of Aragon, Navarra, and the Basque Country that border France. This measure was agreed upon in the meeting of the Committee of the Spanish Veterinary Alert Network (RASVE) held yesterday afternoon and at the request of the three mentioned autonomous communities. The decision was adopted as a preventive protection measure once France reported three new outbreaks of this disease in three border departments with Spain (Eastern Pyrenees, Aude, and Haute-Garonne), which confirms that the virus is circulating freely north of the Pyrenees.
